Okay, So I Lied a Bit
Well, I didn't exactly lie so much as change my mind about whether or not I was going to use this blog. I really see no reason not too, plus I like the new template editor.
Recently, I was taught by a friend of mine, who happens to be a math professor, how to solve a Rubik's Cube. Now, this is very exciting news because I have always wanted to be one of those people who could look at one and go "BAM! done." Alas, I cannot just look at one and solve it in 37.86 seconds like the six year old on youtube but I can solve it in 7 min and 23 seconds after only learning it 4 days ago. I am pretty proud of myself but I must sadly admit that now I have an addiction: I can't stop solving Rubik's Cubes! I just got a crazy amount of satisfaction every time I solve one.
A day or two before I learned to solve the cube, I bought a coloring book. I have always loved to color, for pretty much the same reason that I enjoy solving the cube: the overwhelming sense of satisfaction when I complete a picture (also I am scared to color my own artwork for fear of messing it up). I've printed out many pieces of line art from deviant art and although I enjoy coloring them in I generally use colored pencils and I wanted an excuse to use my 60 pack of Crayola Crayons. It took me forever to find any that I liked, in fact the only place that had any I was interested in was Michaels. I settled on a Disney Princess book and have already colored one picture of Ariel, Flounder, and Sebastian. Yes, I realize I am entertained by the same things that keep a 5 year old occupied but look at the title of this entry. I never claim not to be of the geeky persuasion.
That's about it for updates. I will add some pictures to this later when I recieve all of them.
Hopefully, you will hear more from me soon!
